Milan

After two nights of barely being able to breath in the hotel room in Mestre, we woke up early and caught a train to Milan.  The fashion capital of the world was only a short one day stop on the trip, which was perfect.  Other than its thoroughly impressive Duomo, the city did not hold much interest for me.  A stroke of luck had us in town on the evening that one of the cities soccer teams, Inter Milan, played Munich for the Champions League title.   A giant tv was installed in the Piazza del Duomo, and rowdy Inter Milan fans packed the place.  For video showing how Inter Milan fans prepare for a game, see here
