Warm-Up Walk

Thursday morning I’ll be heading down to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia to enjoy a long Labor Day weekend .  On the busy agenda is a strenuous 8 mile hike up Old Rag Mountain.  It should be a tall order, so Ashley and I headed out on a 6 mile warm-up walk this past Sunday.   We began by heading south from my apartment in Williamsburg, then crossed the Brooklyn Bridge, and slowly made our way up and across town to 14th Street and 8th Avenue.  It was child’s play in comparison with what lies ahead, but it definitely got the blood pumping and the legs a good workout. Here’s a sampling of what we saw along the way.
