February Wine Club


February marked the first meeting of a new monthly event that I will be participating in: Wine Club! This club, guided by this book, is meant to enhance general knowledge of wine. Each month features a specific varietal and each participant is responsible for supplying a bottle of that varietal from a specific region. The host is then responsible for preparing the food from the book that is specifically designed to compliment the wine. Last month’s featured wine was Cabernet, one of my favorites, with five different countries represented. I was the host and was more concerned with keeping the food coming (with a great deal of help from Ashley) than I was with photographing the evening. Below are a few shots of the dishes we enjoyed. I can’t wait for Shiraz in March as hosted by Marina and Tris!
